Can this solar panel be used with standard alkaline batteries in the Blink floodlight, or must rechargeable batteries?

Use the dummy battery case that comes with our solar panel (blue and yellow for the camera, black for the light). Do not insert any other batteries.

During the day, does the solar panel power the device directly, bypassing the internal battery?

The solar panel first charges the built-in battery (7800mAh), which then powers both the snake-head camera and the light.

How many hours of sunlight per day are needed to keep the camera and light running continuously?

For first use, we recommend fully charging the solar battery pack via a charger (10–12 hours). After that, 2–3 hours of daily sunlight will keep it working continuously.

What is the minimum light intensity required for charging?

As long as direct sunlight hits the solar panel, it can charge. We recommend installing it in an unobstructed location so that the panel faces the sun directly at noon.
